An exhibition of stunning, sustainable art installations that light up on renewable energy on Worthing's East Beach.  The event is free and accessible to all.

Worthing Light Festival is run by the East Beach Artist Collective based at East Beach Studios.  We are a vibrant hub of over 25 artists, with years of experience, sharing resources, materials, skills and equipment. We reach out to all sectors of the community in a myriad of ways. As a not for profit artist organisation, we work collectively to promote our abilities as artists and craftspeople, organise events to contribute to the community and to enhance the cultural life of Worthing.

Creative Waves, a local community arts organisation, will create an interactive light art 'space' and run workshops at local schools prior to the event.  Ben Gates will bring his orchestral objects made from recycled everything to the beach for kids to play on and create music.  Poi Passion will deliver spectacular LED light dance performances emerging from the sea.  We also have music ranging from classical, to tango, steel band and ambient folktronica throughout the weekend.

All art installations only use renewable energy or a 12V battery. Anyone can visit day or night. There are two categories; over and under 16 years of age. Installations will be judged by a panel.  Winners of both categories will receive £200 and the runner ups £50 each.

The event organiser is Robert Wells.  Call 07803 877162 with any questions.
